Nazzal bin Sabrah narrates: We performed the Zuhr prayer behind Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), then we came out into the open field. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked for a vessel in which there was water. He took it, rinsed his mouth, put water in his nose, wiped his face and both arms, wiped his head and both feet with his hands. Then he drank the leftover water while standing. Then he explained this matter: Some people dislike drinking water while standing, although the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also did as I have done. He said: This is the ablution of a person who has not lost his ablution.
