Hadith 5316

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ ، وَأَنْ يَتَنَفَّسَ فِي الإِنَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade that a person drink directly from a waterskin by putting his mouth to it, or breathe into a vessel.
