Hadith 530

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ بِعَسْقَلانَ وَجَمَاعَةٌ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْغَسَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْمٍ اللَّخْمِيِّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ وُصْلَةً لأَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ إِلَى ذِي سُلْطَانٍ فِي مَبْلَغِ بِرٍّ أَوْ تَيْسِيرِ عُسْرٍ أَجَازَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةَ عِنْدَ دَحْضِ الأَقْدَامِ " لَفْظُ الْخَبَرِ لابْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَهُ الشَّيْخُ .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever becomes a means of bringing good to his Muslim brother or easing his hardship before a ruler, Allah Almighty will make him cross the Bridge of Sirat on the Day of Judgment, on the day when feet will stumble." These are the words of the narration as transmitted by Ibn Qutaybah. This was stated by the Sheikh.
