Hadith 5283

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ بَحِيرٍ ، عَنْ ضِرَارِ بْنِ الأَزْوَرِ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي أَهْلِي بِلَقُوحٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْلُبَهَا فَحَلَبْتُهَا ، فَقَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعْ دَاعِيَ اللَّبَنِ " .
Sayyiduna Dhirar bin Azwar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My family sent me to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with a pregnant she-camel. The narrator states: I brought it along and presented myself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he instructed me to milk her. I milked her, then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Leave (a little milk) for the caller of the milk.
