Hadith 5274

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ مُنَادِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَادَى : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ ، فَإِنَّهَا رِجْسٌ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The caller of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) announced that indeed Allah and His Messenger forbid you people from eating the meat of donkeys because it is impure.
