Hadith 523

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْخَطِيبُ ، بِالأَهْوَازِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ هَوْذَةَ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُسْتُمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَوْ أَنْ تَلْقَى أَخَاكَ بِوَجْهٍ طَلْقٍ ، فَإِذَا صَنَعْتَ مَرَقَةً ، فَأَكْثِرْ مَاءَهَا ، وَاغْرِفْ لِجِيرَانِكَ مِنْهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not consider any good deed insignificant, even if it is that you meet your brother with a cheerful face. And when you make broth, add more water to it and send some of it to your neighbors."
