أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَلا يَشْرَبْ بِهَا ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِهَا وَيَشْرَبُ بِهَا " ، وَزَادَ فِيهِ نَافِعٌ : " وَلا يَأْخُذَنَّ بِهَا ، وَلا يُعْطَيْنَ بِهَا " .
Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "No person should eat with his left hand nor drink with it, because Satan eats with it and drinks with it." Nafi' has narrated these additional words in his narration: "Do not take with it and do not give with it."
