Salim narrates from his father (Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When any person eats, he should eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, he should drink with his right hand, because Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) All the students of Zuhri have narrated in the chain of this narration that Zuhri narrated it from Abu Bakr bin Ubaidullah from his father, whereas Muammar narrated it differently. He says: This is narrated from Zuhri from Salim from his father (Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both). So it was said to Muammar: You narrate differently from others. He replied: Zuhri heard this hadith from several people, so sometimes he narrates it from one, and sometimes from another.
