أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ ، قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَ وَسَقَى ، وَسَوَّغَهُ ، وَجَعَلَ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَبُو عَقِيلٍ هَذَا : هُوَ زُهْرَةُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ، مِنْ سَادَاتِ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ ثِقَةً وَإِتْقَانًا .
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates regarding the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): When he finished eating or drinking, he would recite this: "All praise is due to Allah alone, Who has fed and given drink, and made it pleasant, and made a way for it to come out."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Abu Aqil is Zuhri bin Ma’bad; he is among the chiefs of Palestine and is trustworthy and precise.
