Hadith 5211

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الأَنْمَاطِيُّ الشَّيْخُ الصَّالِحُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اجْلِسْ يَا بُنَيَّ ، وَسَمِّ اللَّهَ ، وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ ، وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ " ، قَالَ : فَوَاللَّهِ مَا زَالَتْ أَكْلَتِي بَعْدُ ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَبُو وَجْزَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: O my son! Sit down, say Bismillah, eat with your right hand and eat from what is in front of you. Sayyiduna Umar bin Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: After that, I always ate in this manner.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Abu Wajzah is Yazid bin Ubaid Sa'di.
