Hadith 5096

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زُبَيْدًا الإِيَامِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ مَنَحَ مَنِيحَةً أَوْ سَقَى لَبَنًا أَوْ أَهْدَى زُقَاقًا كَانَ لَهُ عِتْقُ رَقَبَةٍ أَوْ نَسَمَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Whoever lends (an animal) as a loan, or gives milk, or guides someone on the road, then he will receive the reward of freeing a neck (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps these are the words) — the reward of freeing a life.”
