Hadith 509

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُعَانِقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا يُرَى ظَاهِرُهَا مِنْ بَاطِنِهَا ، وَبَاطِنُهَا مِنْ ظَاهِرِهَا ، أَعَدَّهَا اللَّهُ لِمَنْ أَطْعَمَ الطَّعَامَ ، وَأَفْشَى السَّلامَ ، وَصَلَّى بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : ابْنُ مُعَانِقٍ هَذَا اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَانِقٍ الأَشْعَرِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ash'ari رضي الله عنه narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: "In Paradise, there are such lofty chambers whose outer side can be seen from the inside and the inner side from the outside. Allah Almighty has prepared these for those who feed others, spread salam (greetings of peace), and perform prayer at night when people are sleeping." Imam Ibn Hibban رحمه الله says: The narrator named Ibn Mu'aniq is Abdullah bin Mu'aniq Ash'ari.
