Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrate this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever demands his right should demand it gently, whether he receives it in full or not."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "It should be done with gentleness" is a condition through which prohibition is intended—prohibition from that which is contrary to gentleness, and acting upon it is not permissible.
