Hadith 5004

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the sale of ‘Ariya (fresh dates on the tree in exchange for dry dates) based on estimation.
