Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates regarding the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): He forbade muhaqala, muzabana, mukhabara, and the sale of dates on the tree until their color changes. The meaning of the color changing is: that they become red or yellow, or become fit for eating. The narrator named Zaid bin Abu Anisah states: I asked Ata bin Abi Rabah, "Did you yourself hear Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate this from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes." The Sheikh says: This narrator named Abu Walid is Saeed bin Mina, from whom Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated traditions.
