Hadith 4962

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ ، وَقَالَ : لا تَلَقُّوا الْبُيُوعَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade that any townsman should make a deal on behalf of a villager. He (peace be upon him) said: Do not meet the traders (outside the market).
