أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى مَجْلِسٍ ، فَلْيُسَلِّمْ ، فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ ، ثُمَّ إِذَا قَامَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ ، فَلَيْسَتِ الأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ : وَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ ابْنُ عَجْلانَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person comes to a gathering, he should greet (with salam). Then if he finds it appropriate to sit, he may sit. And when he stands up (to leave), he should greet (with salam) again, because the first (greeting) does not have more right than the second."
