Hadith 4945

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَثَابِتٍ وَآخَرَ مَعَهُمْ كُلُّهُمْ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ ، قَالَ : إِنِّي يَوْمَئِذٍ أَسْقِي أَحَدَ عَشَرَ رَجُلا ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرُونِي فَكَفَأْتُهَا ، وَكَفَأَ النَّاسُ آنِيَتَهُمْ بِمَا فِيهَا حَتَّى كَادَتِ السِّكَكُ تَمْتَنِعُ مِنْ رِيحِهَا ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : وَمَا خَمْرُهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ إِلا الْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ مَخْلُوطَيْنِ ؟ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ عِنْدِي مَالُ يَتِيمٍ ، فَاشْتَرَيْتُ بِهِ خَمْرًا ، أَفَتَرَى أَنْ أَبِيعَهُ ، فَأَرُدَّ عَلَى الْيَتِيمِ مَالَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ فَبَاعُوهَا وَأَكَلُوا أَثْمَانَهَا " ، وَلَمْ يَأْذَنْ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْعِ الْخَمْرِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The day wine was declared unlawful, I was serving wine to eleven men. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: (When the command of its prohibition reached them) those people instructed me to pour out that wine. People poured out the wine that was in their vessels, to the extent that it became difficult to pass through the streets because of the smell of that wine. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In those days, wine was made only from dried and fresh dates. A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I have the wealth of an orphan. I have bought wine with it. What is your opinion? Should I sell it and return the orphan’s wealth to him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah destroy the Jews. When fat was made unlawful for them, they sold it and consumed its price. (The narrator says) So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not permit me to sell the wine.
