Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever sells a slave who possesses some wealth, then that wealth will go to the seller, and if that slave has taken some debt, then its payment will be upon the seller, except if the buyer has stipulated a condition (then the ruling will be different). And whoever grafts a date-palm tree and, after grafting, sells it, then the fruit of that tree will go to the seller, except if the buyer has stipulated a condition (then the ruling will be different)."
