Hadith 4884

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَلافُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ غُلامًا يَهُودِيًّا كَانَ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرِضَ ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَسْلِمْ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَطِعِ أبا الْقَاسِمَ ، قَالَ : فَأَسْلَمَ ، قَالَ : فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He fell ill. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to visit him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to him, "Accept Islam." He looked towards his father, who was sitting at his bedside. His father said to him, "Obey Abul Qasim (peace be upon him)." The narrator says: So he accepted Islam. The narrator says: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) returned from him, he was saying, "All praise is due to Allah, who saved him from the Fire."
