It is narrated about Sayyiduna Harithah bin Mudarrib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: There is no hidden enmity between me and any Arab. I passed by the mosque of Banu Hanifah; those people believe in Musaylimah. So Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a message to those people. They were brought. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) made those people repent. Only Ibn Nawahah did not repent, so Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "If you were not an envoy, I would have struck your neck." (Then Sayyiduna Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, said to him) Today you are not an envoy. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered Qarzah bin Ka'b. So he struck off that man's neck in the marketplace. Then Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever wants to see Ibn Nawahah, let him see him lying slain in the marketplace.
