أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَقْدَانِ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، وَكَانَ مُسْتَرْضِعًا فِي بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ ، وَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ السَّعْدِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ مَا قُوتِلَ الْكُفَّارُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : هَذَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ السَّعْدِيِّ بْنِ وَقْدَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ وُدِّ ، وَأُمُّهُ ابْنَةُ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَهْمٍ ، مَاتَ فِي خِلافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Waqdan Qurashi (may Allah be pleased with him), who was nursed among the Banu Sa'd bin Bakr and is also called Abdullah bin Sa'di, narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Migration will not end as long as there is fighting against the disbelievers." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) He is Abdullah bin Sa'di bin Waqdan bin Abd Shams bin Abdud. His mother was the daughter of Hajjaj bin Amir bin Sa'd bin Sahl. He passed away during the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).
