أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رِجَالا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ اسْتَأْذَنُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالُوا : ائْذَنْ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَلْنَتْرُكْ لابْنِ أُخْتِنَا الْعَبَّاسِ فِدَاءَهُ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا وَاللَّهِ لا تَذَرُونَ دِرْهَمًا " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some Ansar sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). They said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Allow us to forgo the ransom of our nephew Abbas. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, by Allah! You will not forgo even a single dirham.
