Abdullah bin Buraidah narrates from his father: Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was passing by. A man riding a donkey said to the Prophet (peace be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Please ride (with me)." He himself moved back, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The owner of the animal has more right to sit in front. If you are giving me the front part, then the ruling is different." The narrator says that he then specified the front part for the Prophet (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) rode on it.
