Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to participate in a battle. We had one camel for every two men, on which we would ride alternately. The narrator states: Our feet became wounded, both of my feet were wounded, and my nails fell off. We used to wrap rags around our feet. The narrator states: That is why this battle was named Dhat al-Riqa', because we used to wrap rags around our feet. Abu Burdah narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith, then he did not like this and said: I should not have mentioned this hadith. The narrator states: He disliked this so that none of his deeds would become apparent.
