Hadith 4709

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ سورة الأنفال آية 60 ، أَلا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ ، أَلا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ ، أَلا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ " .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, say: (Allah the Exalted says) "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power." (The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said) Beware! Power means archery. Beware! Power means archery. Beware! Power means archery.
