Hadith 4674

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا كَبْشَةَ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا ، وَالْمُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهَا كَالْبَاسِطِ يَدَهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Kabsha (may Allah be pleased with him), who is a companion of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Goodness has been placed in the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, and their owners are helped, and the example of the one who spends on a horse is like that of a person who extends his hand to give charity."
