Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man presented himself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of the Battle of Uhud and asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), what is your opinion if I am killed fighting in the way of Allah? Where will my abode be, O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "In Paradise." The narrator states: So that man put aside some dates he had in his hand, then he advanced, participated in the battle, and was martyred. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The person who was martyred was Sayyiduna Haritha bin Nu'man Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him).
