Hadith 4634

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ قَعْنَبٍ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حُرْمَةُ نِسَاءِ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ كَأُمَّهَاتِهِمْ ، وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَاعِدِينَ يَخْلُفُ رَجُلا مِنَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ إِِلا نُصِبَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَيُقَالُ : يَا فُلانُ ، هَذَا فُلانٌ فَخُذْ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ مَا شِئْتَ ، ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ : فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ مَا أَرَى يَدَعُ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ شَيْئًا " .
Ibn Buraidah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The sanctity of the wives of the Mujahideen for those who remain behind is like the sanctity of their own mothers. And whoever among those who remain behind betrays a Mujahid, that person will be brought before the Mujahid, and it will be said to the Mujahid: O so-and-so, this is that person; take from his good deeds whatever you wish." (The narrator states) Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) turned to his companions and said: "What do you think? I believe he will not leave any of his good deeds remaining."
