Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the night when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken on the Night Journey (Mi'raj), Buraq was brought to him. It had a saddle placed on it and its reins were put on so that you could mount it. When you tried to mount it, you felt difficulty (i.e., Buraq started to jump), so Sayyiduna Jibreel (peace be upon him) said to it: "Why are you doing this? By Allah! No one has ever ridden you who is more honorable in the sight of Allah than him (i.e., the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him)."
The narrator says: Then Buraq began to sweat.
