Hadith 4566

أَخْبَرَنَا الصُّوفِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُدْرِكُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حَيَّانَ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، سَمِعَ جُنَادَةَ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، سَمِعَ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عُبَادَةَ " . قُلْتُ : لَبَّيْكَ ، قَالَ : " اسْمَعْ وَأَطِعْ فِي عُسْرِكَ وَيُسْرِكَ ، وَمَكْرَهِكَ وَأَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْكَ ، وَإِِنْ أَكَلُوا مَالَكَ وَضَرَبُوا ظَهْرَكَ ، إِِلا أَنْ تَكُونَ مَعْصِيَةً لِلَّهِ بَوَاحًا " .
Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O ‘Ubada! I replied: I am present. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Obey (your leaders) in hardship and ease, in things you like and dislike, and even if they take your wealth and strike your back, except when they openly commit disobedience to Allah (then do not obey them).
