Sayyiduna Abyad bin Hamaal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as part of a delegation. He requested the Prophet (peace be upon him) to grant him some land, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) granted him land at the place called "Milh." When he left, a person said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Do you know what kind of land you have given him? You have given him land where there is abundant water. The narrator says that the Prophet (peace be upon him) then took back that land. The narrator says: I requested the Prophet (peace be upon him) for land at a place called "Araaq," so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: (It is given to you) as long as the feet of camels do not reach there.
