أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِالأَمِيرِ خَيْرًا جَعَلَ لَهُ وَزِيرَ صِدْقٍ ، إِِنْ نَسِيَ ذَكَّرَهُ ، وَإِِنْ ذَكَرَ أَعَانَهُ ، وَإِِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ ، جَعَلَ لَهُ وَزِيرَ سُوءٍ ، إِِنْ نَسِيَ لَمْ يَذْكُرْهُ ، وَإِِنْ ذَكَرَ لَمْ يُعِنْهُ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty intends good for a ruler, He grants him a truthful minister; if the ruler forgets, the minister reminds him, and if the ruler remembers, the minister assists him. And when Allah Almighty intends otherwise for someone, He appoints for him a bad minister; if the ruler forgets, the minister does not remind him, and if the ruler remembers, the minister does not assist him.
