Hadith 4482

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِِنَّكُمْ سَتَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى الإِِمَارَةِ ، وَإِِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ نَدَامَةً وَحَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَنِعْمَتِ الْمُرْضِعَةُ ، وَبِئْسَتِ الْفَاطِمَةُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Soon you will covet governmental positions, and on the Day of Resurrection, this will be a cause of regret and remorse. So, the one who gives milk is considered good, and the one who weans is considered bad."
