Hadith 4474

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْوَزَّانُ بِجُرْجَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الثَّلْجِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِِنَّمَا " سَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ لأَنَّهُمْ سَمَّرُوا أَعْيَنَ الرِّعَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had needles passed through the eyes of those people because they had passed needles through the eyes of the shepherds.
