Hadith 4461

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ بِدِمَشْقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَإِِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " قَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ ثَلاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had a hand cut off for the theft of a shield; the value of that shield was three dirhams.
