Hadith 4458

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحِرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُخْتَلِسِ ، وَلا عَلَى الْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The person who snatches and the person who commits treachery will not be given the punishment (of cutting the hand)."
