Hadith 4440

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنْ أَسْلَمَ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ زَنَى ، وَشَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرُجِمَ ، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَحْصَنَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man from the tribe of Aslam came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he had committed adultery. He testified about himself four times, so according to the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), that man was stoned to death. That man was married.
