Hadith 4406

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاقَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَرْفَجَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ أَمْرَ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ وَهُمْ جَمِيعٌ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِالسَّيْفِ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ " .
Sayyiduna ‘Urfaajah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Soon there will be turmoil after turmoil. Whoever tries to create division in this Ummah while they are united, kill him with the sword, whoever he may be.”
