ذكر البيان بأن من عجل له العقوبة بالحدود تكون إقامتها كفارة لها-Clarification that those who are punished in this world are expiated for their sins
Hadith 4405

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا أَخَذَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ مِنَّا ، وَقَالَ : " مَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْهُنَّ حَدًّا فَعُجِّلَتْ لَهُ عُقُوبَتُهُ ، فَهُوَ كَفَّارَتُهُ ، وَمَنْ أُخِّرَ عَنْهُ ، فَأَمْرُهُ إِِلَى اللَّهِ إِِنْ شَاءَ رَحِمَهُ ، وَإِِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) took the pledge from us in the same manner as he took from our women. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever among you commits any act that is liable to a prescribed punishment and is punished for it in this world, then that punishment will be an expiation for him. And whoever's matter is deferred (i.e., he is not punished in this world), then his case is with Allah Almighty; if He wills, He will have mercy on him, and if He wills, He will punish him.
