Hadith 440

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَعْجَلَ الطَّاعَةِ ثَوَابًا صِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ ، حَتَّى إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ لِيَكُونُوا فَجَرَةً ، فَتَنْمُو أَمْوَالُهُمْ ، وَيَكْثُرُ عَدَدُهُمْ إِذَا تَوَاصَلُوا ، وَمَا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ يَتَوَاصَلَونَ فَيَحْتَاجُونَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, the virtue for which the reward is received most quickly is maintaining the ties of kinship. Indeed, there are families whose people are sinners, but their wealth increases and their numbers grow when they maintain the ties of kinship. And there is no family whose people maintain the ties of kinship with one another except that they will not be in need."
