Hadith 4366

أَخْبَرَنَا شَبَابُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ بِوَاسِطَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ بِمِلَّةٍ سِوَى الإِِسْلامِ كَاذِبًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ ، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْءٍ عُذِّبَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Thabit bin Dhahak (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever deliberately swears a false oath by a religion other than Islam, then that person will be as he has said; and whoever commits suicide with anything, he will be punished in Hell with that very thing."
