Hadith 4364

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : حَلَفْتُ بِاللاتِ وَالْعُزَّى . فَقَالَ أَصْحَابِي : قُلْتَ هُجْرًا . فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِِنَّ الْعَهْدَ كَانَ قَرِيبًا وَحَلَفْتُ بِاللاتِ وَالْعُزَّى ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قُلْ : لا إِِلَهَ إِِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ اتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِكِ ثَلاثًا ، وَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ، وَلا تَعُدْ " .
Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him): I swore by Lat and 'Uzza, so my companions said: You have said something wrong. I went to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We are close to the time of ignorance, and I have sworn by Lat and 'Uzza. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say three times, "There is no deity except Allah, He is the only One worthy of worship." Then spit three times to your left and seek Allah's protection from the accursed Satan, and do not do this again.
