Hadith 4347

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ وَإِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ بِطَرَسُوسَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السَّيَّارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا ، فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ، وَلْيُكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes an oath and then sees something better than it, he should do that which is better and give the expiation for his oath."
