Hadith 4323

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : " كُنَّا نَبِيعُ سَرَارِينَا أُمَّهَاتِ الأَوْلادِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَيٌّ فِينَا ، فَلا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We used to sell the umm walad women from among our captives while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was alive among us, and he did not see any harm in it.
