Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever frees a slave and that slave has (other) partners, and the person has enough wealth to pay the full price of the slave, then the slave will be considered free, and that person will pay his partners their share according to the appropriate price, because he has wronged his partners, and nothing will be obligatory upon the slave." The narrator named Abu Mu'id is Hafs bin Ghalan Ru'ayni; he was a trustworthy and jurist person from the people of Sham.
