Hadith 4308

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ صَالِحَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ نَابِلا صَاحِبَ الْعَبَاءِ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً ، أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever frees a believing neck (i.e., a male or female slave), Allah Almighty will, in exchange for each of its limbs, free each limb of the one who freed (the slave) from Hell."
