Hadith 4170

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لا يَحِلُّ لامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تَصُومَ وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ ، وَلا تَأْذَنُ لِرَجُلٍ فِي بَيْتِهَا وَهُوَ لَهُ كَارِهٌ ، وَمَا تَصَدَّقَتْ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ فَلَهُ نِصْفُ صَدَقَتِهَا ، وَإِنَّمَا خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not permissible for any woman to observe a (voluntary) fast in the presence of her husband without his permission, nor can she allow any man into her house whom her husband dislikes. And whatever charity a woman gives, half of its reward will go to the man. The woman was created from a rib."
