Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates the statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A man receives the reward of charity even for having relations with his wife." The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! If one of us fulfills his desire, will he also get a reward for that?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "What do you think, if he fulfills it in an unlawful way, would he not bear a sin for it? In the same way, if he fulfills it in a lawful way, he will receive a reward for it." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration is fundamental regarding the permissibility of analogy (qiyas) in religious matters; this has been stated by the Shaykh.
