Hadith 4124

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ ، وَلا يُنْكِحُ ، وَلا يَخْطُبُ ، وَلا يُخْطَبُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A person in the state of Ihram cannot marry," cannot arrange the marriage of another, cannot send a marriage proposal, and a marriage proposal cannot be sent to him.
